2019 Chevrolet Silverado - Review & Road Test

All-new, the 2019 Chevy Silverado looks a lot like the previous Silverado, but rest assured there are some differences. Larger but lighter, wider box, and much more. Find out all about it here as Kelley Blue Book's Lyn Woodward takes you for a video journey.

For the latest Chevrolet Silverado pricing and information:
Tom Gill Chevrolet : We think there are huge differences between the 2018 and 2019 - and we love those changes. Thanks for sharing!
Gregg Paiva : I’m a Toyota guy and own a Tacoma, but this truck is a beauty! I love Silverados!
Kang VP : I’m not a huge fan of the Silverado, but man that Trailboss is awesome. That would be the only Silverado I’d consider.
T Sav : Absolutely love, gorgeous. Beautiful lines. I like the truck too. Seriously, I do think it's a contender with the competition. At the very least the GM crowd will be likely be very happy. Happy New Year to all!
Dustin Hart : There have been a few people come through to review for KBB and honestly I think Lynn and Micah are the best. They fit right in. Great review Lynn!

Prime Autotainment : I got to review the High Country too! Check it out here:

Blake M : 58k for a truck is ridiculous, us regular folk are being priced out of the American dream
wicked mainah : Custom trailboss can be had for less than 35g now. Basic interior but you get all the off rd equipment, tow package and the 5.3 with a 6 speed. I traded in my 13 sierra with the 5.3 and this 19 is much more powerful. The truck really goes good, handles nice and rides nice even with the stiffer shocks. Do yourself a favor and order a set of aftermarket steps, gm wants 1000 bucks, the mount holes are already there, I bought a set for 200 and installed them in 30 min. The LT is a rip off, the few extras are not worth 12 or 14 grand.
RodSS : I test drove the Custom Trail Boss and I loved it. The ride quality is definitely better than current 2017 LT Z71 ride. No question about it. There's a little bit of whine from the Goodyear Duratrac tires but you're obviously going to have that. As far as looks you are right, you need to look at things in person and that goes for any brand of vehicle.
Man, I remember when Ford changed the front end of the F-150 for the model year 1987. Google that image from '86 to the '87 truck. People straight lost their minds. But people still bought the trucks in '87... about 5000 more than what they sold in 1986 despite all of the "OMG, what the hell did Ford do to the front of the truck!?? That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen!"
You know what? People get over it and life goes on. Just drive whatever brand truck you like and let it be. You can go cut firewood and throw it in the back of a Honda Ridgeline if you want to... if that gets the job done for you.
DriveAndBeDriven : I just finished watching the whole review! Definitely very well presented and executed!

I really like the styling of this new 2019 Silverado. Also, the cabin looks incredibly spacious and versatile.

I'll probably still lean towards the Ram when it comes to interior styling... Mainly due to it's HUGE portrait style touchscreen. The Silverado definitely seems like a solid choice though.

All in all, great review! From one car reviewer to another, keep up the excellent work, Nolan!

2019 Chevrolet Volt | The Plug-In Swan Song

After we filmed this review, GM killed off their first plug-in hybrid model. After a great deal of debate we decided to just go ahead and publish this review as a memorial to the only PHEV with a truly split-down-the-middle personality.

Thomas Powell : Best engineering team in the world, held back by the worst management team in the world
FSAPO : Really is a shame this vehicle is dying. One of the best cars GM designed in the past decade and still miles better than every other plug in on the market.
rationalguy : We are "senior citizens," and have two 2013 Volts. We bought 'em off-lease, and for less than half retail. Both are still running strong with no appreciable battery degradation. GM engineered the crap out of this car. They knew they had to get it right, as it was the introduction to their "electric age" era of personal transportation. I, as a retired electrical engineer, hacked the charge controllers to 240 volts and we are totally satisfied with them. I'm thinking of trading mine in for a used 2019. Too bad they shit-canned them. It's still the ideal cheap electric car. Our driving pattern seldom requires any fossil-fuel purchases.
Tim M : Alex is without question the most professional and comprehensive technician I have ever watched!
Tom Gill Chevrolet : Sad to see the Volt disappear. Going full-on electric meant something had to give. Have always liked this compact car
